Help with what these are called

Can someone please help me with these?
I bought these stones and I fear that I might be misled by the salesman. I am also not sure of what the other stones are, I just bought them because they look good.

Is this stone below a Black Obsidian? It is opaque with a brownish hue when light is directed to it. It seems like a brown glass.

The salesman told me that the stone below is a Lapis Lazuli. Can you check it out if it really is?
One thing I noticed is that it does have that dark blue color but no gold specs are present.

The salesman also told me that this one is a Lapis Lazuli, but now, I really doubt if it really is lapis. If not, then what stone is this? (Note: I know that it was artificially shaped this way.)

How about this one? Is this really a Moon Stone?

Here, I have something that the saleslady sold to me. She said that this is a Snowflake Obsidian. I bought her claims and bought it at that moment. But the thing is that when I googled up snowflake obsidians, their white parts really do look like snowflakes. This thing I have here has got white spots, but not in the snowflake shape like the ones found in snowflake obsidians.

And last, I have here a black stone that I have no idea what in the world it is. The one who sold me this told me that it is a "Bulalakaw" or "meteorite" in English, but I still doubt that it really is one. I've researched that this is called a "Tektite." Can anyone prove if it really is one?

Blogging..

Darn it!
I am bored!

I have got nothing to do anymore..
I just finished watching that god damned movie entitled, "Sorority Row"..
Got to think of it..
The term sorority row must be included as one of the tongue twisters..

Try this lil' tongue exercise..

Say SORORITY ROW for like 10 times without stopping.
You must say the words clearly and fast!

Now that is a tongue twister!

Ok back to where I was..

Uhm, I don't have my tarot cards with me right now..
I left it at home..
I wanted to bring them but I am with the comfort of my family.
So, basically, showing off my tarot cards to them signifies that I am a TAROT BELIEVER!
and that is a bad news for them..

Uhm, got to think of it, Eric, my cousin, is missing from the Trio Gang.
He's in a school retreat and will be back in a while.
I kinda miss that annoying cousin of mine.

Uhm, last night, I drew 3 cards..
I forgot what they are but I remember them telling me that I will not like this day.
Although they told me that I will be tired for this day, and it was right..

Just don't know if what I predicted will come true though..

Well, I have to go..

I have nothing else to say.

And, like what I said, I AM TIRED!

And we still have to travel back home for 3 hours or so.

And I still have got classes tomorrow.

Argh!

I want some decent rest!!

Got to go!

SORORITY ROW, SORORITY ROW.... 100x!

Blah!

=)

How I Discovered the Tarot

Tarot Cards..

What comes into mind when you hear this?
Before, I used to think of a typical gypsy room setting.
It is a dark room where many candle lights illuminate the scene.
A gypsy is sitting on a chair in front of a round table.
The table is covered with a red or blue table cloth with a constellation pattern.
There is a huge crystal ball in the middle of the round table and there is a pack of TAROT CARDS beside it.
A woman sits in front of the table.
She asks a question to the gypsy.
The gypsy shuffles the TAROT CARDS and draws in cards that seems to be familiar to all of us (yes, even though you don't do Tarot Cards, I'm sure you're familiar with this one), The 3 of Swords (a card with a Heart stabbed with 3 swords) and the Death Card.
The gypsy looks at the woman with a creepy look telling the woman that she has an inescapable fate of death.
The woman screams and the lighting strikes together with the pouring of the rain.

Did you get the same image too?

Well, if you did, the media did it to us!
They nailed it into our minds these thoughts.

Well, you shouldn't think of tarot cards that way.

Tarot cards is a great tool for self discovery.
And you can also use it to see your options in life.

Now wouldn't it be fun to read the tarot cards for your friends?
Having fun as you discover things about you and your friends.
Or earn money by reading cards for someone as your sideline.

I started getting curious about tarot cards last month.
Me, a classmate and a few others are talking about something.
Then my classmate brought up the topic about Tarot Cards.
As we converse, I became fascinated by the cards.

And so, I searched the internet about tarot cards.
I came upon this website about Tarot.
The Aeclectic.net.
I saw in there a few facts about Tarot Cards.
And I never knew that there were thousands of tarot decks to choose from.
Different decks with different awesome artworks in it.

Since I am a bit fascinated about the moon, I decided to check out the cards MOON THEMED cards.
As I check the different decks, I stumbled upon this deck that captured my eyes.
The Deviant Moon Tarot by Patrick Valenza.
I know it seems a bit dark and weird.
But I like weird things.
And oh! How much I wanted to get my hands on these cards!
I can't stop thinking about it!

So I searched the web on where I could get one.
Since I'm still a student without work and a credit card, I can't order it up through the internet.
I can't even ask my parents to buy me these because they won't allow me to even own Tarot Cards.
Most Filipinos are Catholic, and so, owning Tarot Cards for the Filipinos is almost the same thing as worshiping the Devil!
Yes, you heard(read) me right! The Devil! The Devil, I say! Muwahahahaha!!! (devilish laugh!)
OF THE TOPIC: In fact, I bought this block of Rose Quartz crystal. My brother already saw it. And one night, he saw me holding the crystal. And do you know what he said? He said, "Ano na naman ang gagawin mo? Dadasalan mo nanaman yan?" "What are you gonna do with that? Are you gonna pray at for that thing again?" with a very irritating voice wherein I wanted to punch him and throw the block of crystal in my hands at him. Is it really automatic for them to think of me being demonic just because I own a block of Rose Quartz crystal and 2 decks of Tarot Cards? Well in that case, people who own jewelry with rose quartz, clear quartz, etc. are demonic!

Ok back to where I was..
And so, I must find a way to buy this deck.
To my dismay, they only sell these on other countries.
No bookstore or any esoteric store sell them here in the Philippines.
I got a bit disappointed, but I read somewhere that I can order them up through a bookstore and wait for like 4 to 7 weeks before you can get it.
And so, I was like, 4 to 7 weeks? That is a bit too long for me to wait.
But this is the only way for me to get them.

So I went to the bookstore the next day.
I ordered and paid for the Deviant Moon Tarot and I was told to wait for 4 to 7 weeks.
But 4 to 7 weeks is a long time.
By that time, if I don't get the cards, I might be interested in other things.
(I tend to shift interests from time to time)
So I decided to buy the available deck of Tarot Cards in the bookstore.
The deck that I got was the Original Rider-Waite Tarot Card as of it was the only deck available on that store.
I also got a book on how to read the tarot.

OK.

So what I got now is the Original Rider-Waite deck.
It is better than nothing.

I ate lunch at McDonalds and while eating, I opened the box.

I got so excited while looking at the different cards.

I just can't wait to try it out!

When I got home, I waited for all my family members to fall asleep and then I went to the living room and got the deck out of its box again.

In the book that I got, there are sample tarot spreads available.
I tried the most commonly used spread in the whole world, the Celtic Cross spread.

I lay the cards down to the respective order of the spread.

And what did I get?

I saw 10 cards laying on the floor.
Me, having no single clue as of what the cards meant.
It is a good thing that the deck has a LWB (little white book) included that has the card's meanings on it.
But the LWB isn't enough for me to understand the cards.
For me, as a beginner, all I really see are 10 cards with pretty pictures laid down the floor.

So I downloaded all the free ebooks I can find about how to read the cards.

And to my dismay, there is no overnight solution to being good at reading the cards.

To be fully good at reading them, it takes at least 78 days to 1 year for you to be able to read the cards good.

Ok, after a few weeks, my interest in these cards seems to lessen.

From the 100% of enthusiasm, I am now on the 74%..

I am tired of doing readings wherein I don't even know what the cards meant.

I am so tired of relying on the ebooks and internet to know what the cards meant.

I feel so lazy of getting to reflect and know a card a day.

It is just too long..

But one day, I got a text message.

Telling me that my long awaited deck of cards has just arrived the bookstore and is ready to be picked up!

My heartbeat rushed! The world seemed to stop for a moment.

Finally! I can get my hands on my dream deck of Tarot Cards.

But my schedule doesn't seem to go with me.

And so, I went to the bookstore a few days after I received the message.

And Oh My Gosh!

My heart skipped a beat when the counter staff gave me the box of cards.

My eyes where like bigger just by looking at it.

Finally! I got it!

My long awaited deck of cards is in my hands!

Yey for me!

But still, my Tarot Card interest is still 74%

Even though I got the deck of cards that I wanted, I still am too lazy to study each card a day.

But not anymore.

I suddenly felt the urge to study the cards.

I know I must be patient.

Because it will take up too much time!

But, I'd like to look at the good side..

I'll be a good tarot card reader soon!

So stay tuned as I do follow ups on what I think about each card.

For both the Rider Waite deck and the Deviant Moon deck.
